Mitch Abbey

Mitch’s 30 years of experience includes business and product development, product line management, and market analysis for a variety of technology products. As the senior product line manager for HGST’s enterprise-class solid state drive (SSD) product family, he is responsible for driving and developing the Enterprise business marketing plan, and defining markets, products and features for the company’s solid state storage high performance products. Critical to this role is supporting and driving a joint venture with Intel as well as with other key technology suppliers. Prior to joining HGST, Mr. Abbey was senior director of marketing and business development at Seagate, focusing on SSDs and hybrid drives. He’s also held senior positions at National Semiconductor and QformX Inc., a video/audio compression company. Mitch holds a bachelor of science in business administration in marketing from San Jose State University, and has two associate of engineering degrees in computer science and electrical engineering.
