Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai) is always a great time, and the gathering in Shanghai at the end of June promises to be the best yet. Why? Well, we’re looking forward to seeing all our friends in the Mobile space, to be sure, but we’re also looking forward to seeing a lot of new faces. Companies from a wide range of fields – from automotive and video to virtual and augmented reality — are realizing that they’ve got a lot of the same challenges that companies in the mobile world have. Pundits including Cisco say that within three years there will be more than 50 billion devices attached to the Internet of Things (IoT), storing more than 2.9ZB — zettabytes! —of data. How that data is stored, how it moved from point to point throughout the IoT, poses huge challenges to manufacturers in all sectors.
What’s the best way to meet those challenges?
Well, we at SanDisk have a lot of ways to help — and we’re coming prepared to spend a lot of time conversing (in English and Chinese) with anyone who who’s eager to find solutions to these challenges.
- Chris Bergey, Vice President & General Manager of Mobile and Connected Solutions of SanDisk, will be present on Flash at the Edge during the Enterprise IoT session on Wednesday, June 29, from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm.
- SanDisk Extreme team member Dave Newton will be giving live presentation at our booth sharing his process of identifying products that might contain flash storage through A Day with Flash and his current project of touring Taiwan for 3 weeks with nothing but an HTC 10 to take photos and videos. Dave’s session will be done in English with real time Chinese translation.
- In booth N1.6C1 in Hall 1 you’ll find a full range of SanDisk demos – showcasing the use of NAND Flash not just in the next generation of mobile phones but in the next generations of automobiles, IoT devices, video set-top boxes, cameras, and much more.
- You’ll get to see the breakthrough removable product on display, too, and you can talk to design experts from SanDisk about how best to incorporate it (or any other SanDisk storage product) into your next generation device or drone or vehicle. We’ll have two meeting rooms at the booth, so come spend some time with us in one of them.
